Pack Shots
Photographing products for use on the web or for catalogue production requires patience and a good eye for detail. The difference between a shot that sells and one that fails can be just one or two hi-lights. Take note of the fine detail, the weave of the fabric will be effected by moving lights up down and away - putting reflective board above areas can ‘lift’ dark areas. Transparent items sometimes require backlighting in addition to side/front lights. Sometimes a reflective surface will show the lights and the camera! Make sure you look out for this, it can be embarrassing when your client notices your reflection after the book has been published!
